It's hard to believe that we're already coming into 2021! I'm so excited to share what my planner setup is like this coming year. For my catchall I have the "Yay!" Lined vertical 12 month planner. I'm sad that the vertical lined layout I used last year is on its way out, but I'm excited to be back to a generally normal vertical layout, and that it still has lines so I can keep my writing straight. I'll still be using my "Make it happen today" 18 month student planner. I love the colors on this planner, and the color block layout is absolutely perfect for my college classes! If you need to keep lots of categories organized throughout the week, I highly recommend using this layout. I had a hard time keeping up with my faith planner this last year, to my dismay. So instead I'll be using this faith happy notes this year. It has daily journal entry pages inside, that are undated. I like that I can choose which days I want to write things down from my studies. I'll be using my same mini budget planner in 2021. I don't use it every month, so I still have space left to go. I'm hoping I use it more in 2021, so we'll see! And those are all of my planners for 2021! I'm so excited to get planning, and to realign myself after the whole 2020 fiasco. I have exciting things coming this year, including becoming a first time mother, and I'm glad I'll have my planners to keep me on track.

If you're anything like me, then you have a LOT of stickers. I remember when I got my very first Happy Planner stickerbook. I thought I'd just get one or two, and be good to go... how wrong I was. As my sticker collection gradually increased I needed a place to keep them all! Enter my Planner cart. My sweet husband got me a white planner cart for Christmas of 2019. It was the perfect place to keep my stickers! About a month ago I found these blue bins at the Dollar Tree, and they've been the perfect size to keep all of my stickers in place. Something I have been delaying is writing the names of all the stickerbooks on their spines. You can see that the newer books have it, but unfortunately the majority of mine don't. But I don't just want my stickerbooks stored away! I want to be able to look at them and enjoy them! Enter Ikea pegboard. I LOVE THIS THING! It was easy to install, and I can hang my favorite stickerbooks from the little hooks! It sits right in front of my desk and brings me a whole lot of happy! What do you like to use for sticker storage? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
I ADORE my Happy Notes™! There is nothing better than a brand new clean notebook, and when it has discs, my heart skips a beat! I use them for my class notes, for notes at church, and for to-do lists! I use this classic sized notes for my class notes! It has 4 sections which is perfect, since I'm taking 4 classes right now! If i'm ever in a rush and make notes in the wrong section, or in a different notebook, I just pop the pages into the right section to keep everything organized. (That's why I love having discs! I mess up a lot.) This is the Grand Plans & Big Ideas notebook. I think that the cover, the dividers, and the discs are the absolute CUTEST in this notebook! (Which is why I use it for my favorite notes, for church and devotionals.) I love how creative people get using their mini Happy Notes™! I just keep mine on my desk to take quick notes and make to-do lists when I need some quick paper. They're also just the cutest size. :)
What do you all use your Happy Notes™ for? Which notebook is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! Hey guys! Today I’m taking you through a tour of my Catchall 2020 Planner. I use a Classic sized Happy Planner, with the lined vertical layout. (So far I’ve been LOVING this layout by the way.) Isn’t she beautiful? 😍 I do keep my planner in a deluxe Happy Planner cover, which is my favorite color, YELLOW! Inside my cover I keep whatever pen I’m using for that week, and some other cute decorations. I’ll walk you through some of the main pages in my planner. This is my my “belongs to“ page. For my year at a glance, I decided to start keeping track of my steps, and highlighting days where I hit over 10,000. I’ve been putting these in at the end of the month. I’m using my monthly overview page as a monthly memory planning space, like this! I really love it, it makes my planner feel more personal! I use my monthly layout for appointment keeping. Here are some examples of my weekly layouts so far this year! At the back of my planner I keep some extra papers, such as my vision board, goals, cleaning sheet, movie tracker, etc. Here’s a few pictures of those extra pages. And that’s my Catchall Planner! I’ve really been loving the system I have going on this year, it’s really been working for me! What’s your Planner system like? Make sure to leave a comment below!
Hello Planner friends! I’m so excited to start sharing all of my planner joy with you all. For this first post, I wanted to share with you all my planner journey. Where I started, and where I’m at! I have always loved using paper planners. Writing things down helps me remember things! In my adult life I had gone through different paper planners that I had found at Walmart. Then, in February of 2019, I was standing in the planner aisle at Walmart staring at the most beautiful planner I had EVER seen. It was a Happy Planner. I had never seen one before, and I was fascinated. The colors, the quotes, the the discs with little hearts in them, I loved EVERYTHING. I remember telling my husband how badly I wanted it, and hugging the planner all the way out to the car. Now, I had never even thought about decorative planning. I don’t know why! I’ve always been very creative and artistic, and decorating a planner would’ve been totally up my alley, but I didn’t even know. I used my Happy Planner, which was an undated vertical layout, completely functionally. I kept track of spending and appointments with just a pen. It was a few months later when I started following the Happy Planner Instagram page. I was amazed at all of the gorgeous spreads and colors that people put in their planners every week! It inspired me to try something new, so I pulled out my colored pencils and started creating fun colored spreads all on my own. One day, as I was perusing my local Dollar Tree, I found some simple Planner stickers, and washi tape. Remembering some of the instagram posts I now followed, I decided to buy them, and try them out. I loved it! It was such a quick way to bring fun into my planner. This was around the time that I started a planner dedicated Instagram page. (@plansbymelisa) and this really pushed me to be more creative and to make my planner the best it could be for me. I got my first Happy Planner stickers for my birthday on August 30th. I was nervous and unsure of how to use them, but I tried my best. Soon I started settling into my style. I knew what worked for me functionally, and what made me happy. I also was able to start practicing my lettering too. I feel a LOT more confident in my planning style now, and I know what works for me. As 2020 rolled around, I was excited to try a new layout, which was lined vertical. I have LOVED this layout, and how creative it enables me to be. I’m constantly having to think outside the box! I have 4 planners that I’m using for 2020. (I’ll go into those planners and their purposes in another post.) And I've been enjoying adding some extra pages to my planner to be creative and keep more aspects of my life in check. How did you find your way into the planner world? What do you love about planning? Make sure to leave a comment below!
